Governmental Purchasing Council of Hillsborough County

The Governmental Purchasing Council of Hillsborough County is comprised of purchasing officials from 19 entities that participate in cooperative purchasing activities ( see list of local government agencies with purchasing authority ).

The Council meets bi-monthly to discuss the cooperative efforts of its member governments. Where feasible, requirements of several agencies are consolidated to achieve savings through economies of scale.

All local governments, including chartered municipalities, local public agencies, boards, and other authorities in Hillsborough County are eligible to participate with the authority for sharing contracts derived from two special acts of the Florida Legislature enacted during the 1969 legislative session (Sections 69-1112 and 69-1119, Laws of Florida).
